Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) online Seminary wishes all the believers a spiritually uplifting month of Ramadhan.

The echo of the verse ‘O believers! Fasting is prescribed for you—as it was for those before you—so that you may become mindful ˹of Allah˺ can be heard everywhere indicating that the month of Ramdhan wherein Allah Himself is the host has begun.

While preparing for this big occasion one ought to remind oneself about the goal of fasting (as mentioned in the above verse) and reflect upon the ways through which we can improve and strengthen our connection with our creator, the merciful and the powerful. Our fasting and prayers should not be like the one about whom Imam Ali (peace be upon him) says; ‘There are people who fast and get nothing from their fast except hunger, and there are those who pray and get nothing from their prayer but a sleepless night.’

While striving for personal development we should not forget our social commitments, especially in the current crises. It is the responsibility of every able person to strive and reach out to the believers who have been affected emotionally and financially due to the pandemic.

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) says; ‘Amongst the deeds most loved by Allah are (for a person) to bring joy to his fellow brother/sister in faith by satiating his hunger, relieving his distress or paying off his debt.’

Imam Sajjad (peace be upon him) says; Whoever feeds a hungry believer, Allah will feed him with the fruits of Paradise; and whoever gives a drink to a thirsty believer, Allah will quench his thirst (on the Day of Judgment) with an exquisite drink of Paradise; and whoever clothes a believer, Allah will clothe him with a green robe of Paradise.’

In this Holy Month, we ask Allah to hasten the reappearance of our beloved Imam so that we can spend a few days of our life in his presence.
